Our kids become “little Bollywood stars” at International Children’s Day April 23!
Held at the scenic Cary recreational Sertoma Amphitheater inside Bond Park , the Cary-based Children’s International Festival was a huge success! The annual festival that is now becoming fast known as THE international destination for children for sharing their unique culture and identity was attended by the Mayor of Cary and organised by the Turkish Assoc. of Cary along with Sister Cities.
Among thronging multitudes of kids from every nationality and culture in the RTP donned in their fabulous costume on stage and demonstrating their skills, doing us proud were the Bollywood Stars of Indigo Dance Academy winning their rightful place of pride among the dance and music cultures of the world!
An excited lot of tots, 4-7 years and a bunch of Tweens 8-12 danced to some latest 2016 hits off the Bollywood charts and enthralled the packed audience (there was NO parking spots right from the start time at 11 a.m!!) after a colorful parade up & down the outdoor Sertoma Amphitheater, inside Bond Park Cary. Hearty cheering and loud clapping greeted the kids both at the parade and their stage presentation. The afternoon was extremely enjoyable with a number of innovative and interactive activities for the kids.
The Indigo dance show by children & fun-filled audience interactive was hosted by Priya Chellani. At the end , all kids received medals! from the generous Buket Aydemir, orgnaiser and chief host of the Festival.
