20 select female performers from the Indigo Dance Academy regaled expo visitors lately at the Southern Women’s Show ,with uptempo Bollywood hits of 2016. An entirely red-carpeted and ultra-savvy 3-day event, covering two buildings at the NC State Fairgrounds, the Bollywood show was on stage on Sunday April 24, at this 3-day shopping extravaganza mainly sponsored by Belk.
Commemorating the Mother-Daughter Day special, the show opened with a song devoted to family values, (“Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”) moving on to several female -oriented songs from latest Hindi movies, such as “Deewani Mastani” (Bajirao Mastani) depicting the passion of princess Mastani , the jealous rivalry and ironic camaraderie of two women in the infamous dance of 2016 (“Pinga”) , the antics of a tomboyish girl, (“Banno”) from Tanu Weds Manu, and many other season’s hits, the show was viewed by a dazzled audience that admired all of the dancer’s ensembles and cheered lustily for the dancing talents & gorgeous costumes!
