Bollywood @ Children’s International Festival Cary 2017
To the heady beats of the latest Bollywood blockbusters such as “Dangal” and “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, Indigo’s Bolly-Babes and Bolly-Tweens once again had people clapping, cheering and applauding as they showed their expressive dances on a variety of songs.
Sharing their Bollywood dance culture proudly with other members of the International Community of Children at the International Children’s Festival held at Bond Park’s Sertoma Theatre, Cary, Saturday April 22 was definitely a day to celebrate much diversity in the Triangle! All kids were involved in a parade to represent their nationality and received medals in appreciation from the generous committee of the ATA-NC Org. who bring these kids together year after year in an increasingly busy and vibrant festival for kids and by kids. Thousands attend this festival from every community based in the Triangle, the evidence being the parking in the vicinity that runs out within the first 30 minutes of the day!
The half hour special by Indigo ended with a treat for all the kids & moms in the audiences as Priya herself brought all of them to their feet & to the stage to accompany her & her kids in a swinging song from ‘Sultan’!
