Being on the Judges’ Panel for an electric, and upbeat dance competition, Nrithya Malhar, at the local St. Gregorius Church’s annual Harvest Festival program was an evening Indigo Founder Priya Chellani spent in viewing some entertainment and engaging dance acts put up by local universities and colleges. It was a pleasure and honor to be able to judge some of the best dancing teams from Charlotte UNC, NC State etc.
With her previous experience in judging a number of dance competitions in Mumbai India, Priya contributed much of the major judging criteria to the panel. Turns out, the selected winners also happened to be the favorites of the informal voting by the crowds. The festival is organized each year by the Kerala Association of the Triangle in tandem with the Church and is seemingly very popular for its wholesome cuisine of Kerala offerings. This was a great opportunity for local talent in RTP.
