Bollywood Dance for Adults
Thumka, Shimmy, Taali, Bhangra, add a dash of Happy Feet and Cha-cha ! In this class, participants are taught the fundamentals of Bollywood dance movements, a confluence that unites India’s upbeat, energetic folk dance moves with modern elements of pop culture, hip-hop, jazz etc. Fun, and level-appropriate, with catchy music of the movie industry of Bombay, India, this class is your glimpse into Southeast Asia’s most popular entertainment medium & its modern-traditional mix. Develop coordination, musicality and lyrical expression. Pick up a cultural tidbit or 2 ! No prior experience needed. Opportunities to perform at multi-cultural events available.
